The 2017 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition took place in San Diego November 12-15. It brought together more than 6,100 scientists, business leaders, government officials, and students from around the world to share and learn the latest scientific advances and industry developments. The meeting featured 100 scientific sessions and 2,200 posters, workshops, and short courses.
As first time exhibitors at AAPS, the LGM team found it to be a great synergistic conference that exceeded our expectations. While LGM supplies the Biotech/R&D community with a wide range of active ingredients, we also are on the cutting edge of collaborative project development with leading scientists as well as contract research, development & manufacturing organizations who work on a myriad of novel drug delivery platforms.
At AAPS, our business development team met with over 80 companies in different research and development phases in order to discuss and elaborate on their project requirements. Almost all companies with whom we met, in the closing summaries of our discussions, stated that LGM’s added-value business model is very different from anything they have encountered. They also pointed out that they could certainly envision using LGM’s collaborative services in order to streamline their supply chain when procuring new APIs or when requiring information to help them further comprehend the competitive landscapes they have elected to develop their programs in.
